The 15-man Indian team for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has been announced.
The BCCI has announced the roster for the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2024, and Rohit Sharma will spearhead India’s pursuit of the much-anticipated title.
Many players were fighting for the position of wicketkeeper before the announcement, stirring up speculation over who will be named. In the end, India has given the gloves to Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant.
After missing over a year due to a near-fatal accident in December 2022, Pant will finally be able to play cricket at the international level again.
After making an appearance in the most recent Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan, Shivan Dube was unable to be left out of the squad thanks to his impressive success in the Indian Premier League. For the Chennai Super Kings, the 30-year-old has been in spectacular form, scoring 350 runs at an astounding strike rate of 172.41 in nine games.
Indian bowlers Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal will be spearheading the spin attack, while Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, and vice-captain Hardik Pandya will be assisting the pace attack.
Batsmen Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Suryakumar Yadav were all projected to form the top order, with Rohit leading the pack.
Only pacers Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan, as well as Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh, are relegated to the reserves.

Teams have until May 25 to make roster adjustments; after that date, the ICC’s Event Technical Committee must approve any alterations.
